John Heagren Moves to a New Role

Posted on 3rd October, 2025

After more than 30 years at the heart of Bisley Shooting Ground, John Heagren will be stepping down from his role as Shooting Manager.

John has been instrumental in shaping the business since he joined in 1993, moving into a part time role in 2017, and has played a pivotal part in developing Cottesloe Heath into the outstanding shooting ground it is today.

Importantly for our clients, John is not leaving us. Instead, he will be focusing on what he enjoys most - coaching. Moving forward, John will continue to work at BSG as a freelance instructor, offering the same professional, meticulous, and highly regarded lessons that so many of you already enjoy. For those who shoot with John, nothing will change in terms of your experience, and how you book with him.

As our business continues to grow, we will now begin the process of recruiting a new full time Shooting Manager to lead and develop the shooting side of the business.

On a personal note, and on behalf of everyone at BSG, I want to thank John for his decades of dedication, leadership, and invaluable guidance, especially over the last six years when the business changed ownership. Our current success owes a great deal to John’s tireless work ethic and dedication and passion for the sport

I am delighted that John will remain at the forefront of our instructor team and confident that his expertise will continue to benefit our clients for years to come.
