Jem started his shooting career aged 9 with air rifles, and by 16 had his first shotgun certificate, giving him over fifty years’ experience in the shooting field to date.  Jem describes himself as a countryman having grown up in a rural village in Berkshire and has a great passion for the British countryside.

A keen Game, Clay, and Rifle shot, he enjoys coaching and instructing in the field as well as on the shooting ground.  With an excellent knowledge of the etiquette of Game Shooting, he gets great satisfaction from helping novices with their first experience in the field.

Jem has been coaching since 2018 after a successful career in food retail and loves to welcome newcomers to the sport he has so much passion for. He is an associate member of the Association of Professional Shooting Instructors, and holds Lantra Loaders Level 2, DSC1 and DSC2.

Jem's other interests include Stalking, Falconry (is Chairman of a Falconry Club) Gun Dog Training, Fly Fishing and Spearfishing.
